Fountain Hills Sales Increase!  Prices Go Up!

Fountain Hills saw a five percent increase in home sales 2012 (833) over 2011 (793) which was much better than the Phoenix metro area in general. According to the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service, Phoenix metro had 90,680 sales in 2012 which was a 10.6 percent decline in number of homes sold in 2011 (101,436).

I was responsible for 19 of those sales for my clients in 2012!

The average sales price of a Fountain Hills home sold was up over 2011 by 5.2 percent to $332,892 and the average Days on Market (DOM) was down 17.5 percent to 118 days.

Days on Market (DOM) is affected by price. Two examples of Fountain Hills home sales in 2012 demonstrate that fact. Homes originally listed between $200,000 and $299,999 had an average DOM of 98. Homes listed between $300,000 and $399,999 were on the market 13 days longer, at 111.

The World Famous Fountain!

The center piece of the community is the World Famous Fountain which at one time was the world’s tallest! (Now that claim belongs to a fountain in Saudi Arabia).

The 64 acre park that surrounds the fountain is always buzzing with activity. Located along Saguaro Blvd between El Lago Drive and Palisades Blvd, the park hosts not only the spectacular view of the fountain shooting water up to 560 feet toward the sky, but a fun Splash Park to cool off at on a hot summer’s day, a 1.25 mile paved trail for walking and running by people of all ages, a Frisbee golf course and the respectful Veterans Memorial. There are numerous shops and restaurants within a short walking distance from this beautiful park.
